What is Ames Blue Max?

What is Ames Blue Max?

24th May 2023

Ames Blue Max is a special blend of elastomeric liquid rubber that dries to a tough, high strength, elastic membrane. It is easy to apply; simply roll, brush, or spray with a commercial airless sprayer.

What makes Ames Blue Max the best coating?

  • Ames Blue Max is high in solids, low odor, blue in color, and thick in consistency.
  • Ready to use straight from the container with little or no stirring.
  • Ames Blue Max contains no petroleum distillates; it is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, does not re-emulsify and cleans up easily with water.
  • Ames Blue Max is also extremely adhesive and outperforms most asphalt emulsions. When dry it stretches up to 1200% to expand and contract with the surface to resist cracking or peeling.

Ames Blue Max completes a seamless uniform coating that is impervious to water and has adequate dry mil thickness. Ames Blue Max comes in two grades: Regular Grade, which is heavy duty and sprayable, and Trowel Grade suitable for caulking or as a filler.

How do I save my basement?

Ames Blue Max products are especially effective in saving and extending the life of old basements, bearing walls, and foundations. They provide significant strength to older surfaces that degrade over time. These products also waterproof extremely wet areas like below grade foundations, basement walls and cisterns. This happens because Ames Blue Max flows into cracks and crevices as a liquid and sets up as a durable rubber, which seals leaks. Ames Blue Max is highly resistant to standing water.

Ames Blue Max products can be used on ICT by both professional contractors and homeowners. Exterior above grade applications must be top coated for UV protection. Ames Blue Max products work as a primer and waterproofing membrane for Ames Paint & Prime; Ames Block & Wall Acrylic; Ames Block & Wall Rubber Formula; and many other Ames coatings
